Canon P & 50mm 1.8 & Light Meter

We revise and restore all our old silver film cameras in our workshops in Lyon.

This model is a Canon P. A rangefinder camera with an M39 LTM mount. The "P" stands for "Populaire" (Popular) because the camera was accessible to the general public while resembling Leica rangefinders of the time. It is fully mechanical with speeds ranging from 1s to 1/1000s, a Bulb mode, and flash sync. Several patches appear in the viewfinder and correspond to 100mm, 50mm, and 35mm focal lengths.

The camera is sold with its lens and external light meter. Please note: The curtain is slightly wrinkled, which is common on these bodies (no impact on speeds and exposure. The light meter is generally correct, the suggested setting seems to underexpose slightly.

The lens is a Canon Lens 50mm 1: 1.8. No scratches or fungus. Please note: Slight internal haze (little impact on the film), a vintage Canon lens cap is included.
