Self-Service Black and White Printing

This session provides access to an enlarger station in our lab for 4 hours to independently develop your black and white silver gelatin prints.

It is necessary to have training or experience, to have already printed using an enlarger, and to be comfortable with lab standards and practices.

The session starts at 2:00 PM and ends at 6:00 PM; your last print must be finished by 5:45 PM to allow for rinsing and drying time.

We provide the chemicals but not the paper; you must bring your own silver gelatin paper. The rinsing and drying system is suitable for RC and baryta papers. However, baryta is more complex and takes longer, so we reserve this session for RC prints. If you have a baryta project, you can contact us directly.

The lab currently has two printing stations; you may be sharing the lab during your session. Our space is designed to allow multiple people to work on images simultaneously.

The price is for an independent session; once the lab introduction is completed, there will be no technician or lab assistant to help you with your prints or proofs.

The price is per person and includes all taxes. If you wish to come on the same day with another person, you can book 2 spots for the same time slot (subject to availability).
